Please refer to the chart below, these numbers correspond to the image.  How-to-measure video coming soon!

Use this chart and image for step-by-step measuring instructions.  Read it over, and if you are hesitant to order because you're afraid you can't do your own measurements, there's always another option:  Check out my standard sized customized corsets.  Fully custom will be the best fit, but only ONE measurement needed for a standard sized custom corset!

1. Bust:  Measure your bust in your best bra.  Measure around your whole chest, laying the tape accross the fullest part of your bust.

2. Underbust:  Measure in your best bra again.  This measurement is aproximatly at the lowest elastic line of your bra, basically where the "fold" of your bust is, where your bust meets your chest.  Your underwire should fit right in there in a properly fitted bra.

3. Waist: Your waist is sometimes the smallest point on your torso, but for plus sizes, it may be a bit harder to determine.  Unless you wear your pants super high, your waist is NOT where your pants button!  Your waist is more likely right where your ribcage ends on the side.  If you bend/lean over to the right or left, a crease should form where your waist is, where your ribcage meets your hip bone.  That is your waist.  Everyone's waist is in a different place!  Some people are long waisted, some people are short waisted.  One person may have their bellybutton about an inch under their waist, while another person's will be two and a half inches or so above their bellybutton.  Everyone is different.  Keep this in mind when using the measurement chart!

4. Hip bone:  This measurement is THREE INCHES below your waist.  This is where the string tied around your waist makes more sense!  Measure three inches below the string.  Once again, try to keep the measuring tape evenly three inches below the waist all the way around, meaning it can't be one inch lower in the back and three inches lower in the front, it must be three inches below the waist all the way around.  It may be easier to measure down from your waist and mark your skin with a pen, marker, etc.  Don't use permanant marker :P  Then you can follow the markings all the way around your hipbone so that you are sure it's three inches below your waist all the way around.

5. Hips:  This measurement must be FIVE INCHES below the waist.  This measurement is NOT around your bum, but only five inches below your waist.  Measure five inches below the string.  Once again, try to keep the measuring tape evenly five inches below the waist all the way around, meaning it can't be two inches lower in the back and five inches lower in the front, it must be five inches below the waist all the way around.  It may be easier to measure down from your waist and mark your skin with little dots, with a pen or water based marker (Crayola is good), etc.  Then you can follow the markings all the way around your hipbone so that you are sure it's five inches below your waist all the way around.

6. Nipple to waist:  This is a vertical measurement, instead of horizontal.  Measure in your best bra from your nipple to the string at your waist.  Stand up straight, and don't bend to look at the measuring tape.  You can use your neck to look, of course, but try not to hunch your back.  Keep the measuring tape straight, and don't measure diagonally.

7.  Underbust to waist:  This is a vertical measurement, instead of horizontal.  Measure in your best bra from your underwire to the string at your waist.  Stand up straight, and don't bend to look at the measuring tape.  You can use your neck to look, of course, but try not to hunch your back.  Keep the measuring tape straight, and don't measure diagonally.

8. Armpit to waist:  This is a vertical measurement, instead of horizontal.  Put your arm out at a right angle and measure from the corner-most point or your underarm to the string at your waist.  This measurement can be difficult, since you lose the use of one hand while it's at a right angle!  Stand up straight, and don't bend to look at the measuring tape.  You can use your neck to look, of course, but try not to hunch your back.  Keep the measuring tape straight, and don't measure diagonally.

9.  Nipple to nipple, side to side-  This is another horizontal measurement, but it is not all the way around your torso.  Measure in your best bra, of course.   Measure from nipple to nipple, or point to point, accross your chest.

10. Your bra size!  Easiest measurement of them all.  Please know your correct bra size, I am amazed how many women have no idea what size they wear.  The right bra size makes life so much easier and more comfortable!

How do I take measurements? I'm scared!
